Seattle-based artist Eirik Johnson (b. 1974) has exhibited his work at spaces including the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and the Aperture Foundation in New York. His monographs include Sawdust Mountain (Aperture, 2009) and Borderlands (Twin Palms Publishers, 2005). His work is in the permanent collections of institutions including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and the George Eastman House, Rochester, NY. Awards include an Art Matters Grant 2013, the 2012 Neddy Prize, the Santa Fe Prize 2005, and a William J. Fulbright Grant in 2000. Johnson is on the faculty at the University of Washington and at the Photo Center Northwest.
